Founded by award-winning entrepreneur and educator

The Digital Potential Lab was founded by Melissa Sariffodeen.

Melissa is an award-winning entrepreneur who’s built an organization teaching future-proof technical skills. Over the last decade, she’s helped to create 1 million learning experiences, build a team of 50+ and raised almost $50M to help make Canada Learning Code’s work possible. All while studying how individuals, organizations and countries thrive during periods of rapid technological change - and others fail to keep up. Now, she’s taking this experience and learning to build, advise, teach and invest in technology and, more importantly, the people who build it to create a better, more prosperous future.

Melissa combines her practical experience with her strong academic background in business, technology and education. Melissa holds an HBA degree from the Ivey Business School, a Master’s in Education Policy from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto and is a PhD student at the University of Toronto as well.
